Bernhardt Consulting Selected to Lead National Ag in the Classroom’s Fund Development Efforts
Albuquerque, N.M., (October 2, 2017) – The Bernhardt Consulting Co. was recently selected by the National Agriculture in the Classroom Organization (NAITCO) to lead its fund development efforts.
The mission of NAITCO is to increase agricultural literacy through K-12 education. An agriculturally literate person is one who understands and can communicate the source and value of agriculture as it affects quality of life. NAITCO programs seek to improve student achievement by applying authentic, agricultural-based content as the context to teach core curriculum concepts in science, social studies, language arts and nutrition.
“NAITCO is doing truly great work in agricultural literacy,” said Randy Bernhardt, president of Bernhardt Consulting Co. “Even more so today, agriculture literacy is very important, especially because most youth today are 4 - 5 generations removed from the farm. I’m pleased to be selected by NAITCO to help in their fund development initiatives.”
