A Passion for Agricultural Education

I am pleased to again be working for New Mexico Agriculture in the Classroom (NMAITC) to develop fundraising materials and assist them with fund development. With my roots in rural America, then as an agriculture teacher and FFA advisor and as the head of agricultural education nonprofit organizations, agricultural education has always been my passion.
New Mexico Agriculture in the Classroom (NMAITC) is a non-profit educational outreach program funded primarily by the membership of the New Mexico Farm and Livestock Bureau. The purpose of NMAITC is to educate the general public, with an emphasis on K-12 students and educators, about the importance of agriculture. Today this education is even more important, especially since most Americans are two or three generations removed from a farm or ranch.
Through education, NMAITC strives to foster in students an appreciation of our farmers and ranchers and an understanding of the importance agriculture plays in our everyday lives. The NMAITC program is instrumental in continuing to create educated consumers and voters on which the future of our great nation depends.

In addition to New Mexico Agriculture in the Classroom, I have the pleasure of also working for National Agriculture in the Classroom.
